Last Thursday I had the amazing opportunity to join a handful of local San Diego Beauty Bloggers and check out the new Urban Decay Naked Petite Heat palette (Retails for $29) at the Urban Decay Store in the Westfield Plaza Bonita mall!
The Urban Decay Petite Heat palette is an all matte, baby version of their full sized Naked Heat palette. Check out these clips from my Instagram story for swatches and a peek at the preview event:
As you can see, there were a bunch of gorgeous new lipstick shades in the Heat collection as well. Not to mention all of the great makeup and brush deals they had going on. Needless to say, I caved a bought a few brushes…the quality is just so good and the price point was unbeatable at about $10-$15 a brush.
For reference, here is a link to the original Urban Decay Naked Heat palette (Retails for $54) and swatches from my Instagram page:
Final thoughts and recommendations: If you want a mini, all matte version of the Naked Heat palette, the Petite Heat is the one for you. As someone who already has the full sized palette, I will not be picking this one up since the shades I swatched were similar enough to the shades that are in the full sized one. I also love the variety of finishes in the full sized version! For reference, both palettes have awesome Urban Decay quality: buildable & pigmented.
I also wanted to give a shoutout to the beautiful and sweet UD store manager Juliana for inviting me to this wonderful event! Here is a link to her Instagram account if you want to check out her page 🙂 Instagram – Julzielu. It was so nice to meet other local beauty bloggers, there is so much talent in San Diego. Everyone was so sweet as well!
What do you guys think, do you like these kinds of blog posts where I take you all along to events? I definitely plan on sharing them all!
The bigger palette is one of my faves. I actually think that saving a few more bucks to get the bigger one would be a better deal. Then again, the mini looks more practical for traveling .
I love the bigger one already. I know a few people who aren’t into makeup as much that get intimidated by bigger palettes, so in that case I think this smaller one would be better for them.
